The DS2 is an indoor control module that can be used with Natcomm door phones. It has a phone extension line-out port for connection of a handset that rings when the door phone button is pressed. This makes the DP2 ideal for stand-alone operation without need for any network connectivity. Application examples include hotel intercom to a phone handset in reception. After answering the call, the phone keypad can be used to operate a relay contact to activate door and gate locks for secure entry.
The DS2 also has an analog line-in connection for connection to a PSTN/POTS system.
The DS2 can provide extended installation economy by allowing two Natcomm door phones to be connected in parallel to allow either door phone to ring the connected line or handset.
